quick and easy guacamole

This is a simple guacamole recipe that doesn’t use a food processor. Because it doesn’t use a food processor, it is a bit chunkier, but I honestly prefer guacamole chunkier rather than smooth. Because a lot of people don’t like cilantro, I’ve left it out of this recipe. If you want to add cilantro, just chop it fine and mic it in after smooshing the avocadoes.

  • 2-3 avocadoes
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 lime
  • 1 dried chili
  • olive oil
  • salt
  1. Halve the avocadoes and remove the pits. Score the avocadoes in a criss cross pattern, taking care not to cut through the skin.
  2. Remove avocado from skin using a spoon, and place into bowl. Squeeze the juice from the lime in with the avocado.
  3. Thinly dice red onion, garlic and chili.
  4. Using a fork smoosh the avocado. After avocado is smooth, mix in the diced ingredients. Season to taste.
  5. Smooth guacamole, and drizzle a little amount of good quality olive oil on top.
  6. Cover with cling film, and let rest for half an hour in the fridge. Mix before serving.
